All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Mr. Scott Luther Bennett, 47, passed away March 20, 2010, at Loma Linda Hospital after a brief illness. He was a resident of Hesperia for 18 years. Born Jan. 11, 1963, in West Covina, he was presently employed as IT manager at WCL Company in City of Industy. He worked for 24 years and was trained and certified in c omputer work and repairs. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for New York Rochester from October 1983 to May 1985. He was a former LDS Bishop at the Maple Ward in Hesperia. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Jean Bennett, and children Samantha, Allison and Matthew, all of Hesperia; mother, Deloris Bennett, and mother-in-law, Faylene Hay, both of West Covina; two sisters, two brothers, three sisters-in-law and seven brothers-in-law. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10862 Maple Ave. in Hesperia, with Bishop Gardner officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn in Covina Hills. Memorial donations may be made to the Missionary Fund at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, c/o Bishop Gardner, 12766 Trent Place, Victorville, CA 92392.
