Former Downey resident Myrtle Binkley mourned
WHITTIER-Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Rainbow Chapel of Rose 
Hills Memorial Park in Whittier for Myrtle Binkley, a former longtime Downey resident and retired 
choir director. 
She was 95, born in Denison, Iowa, and lived in this area for 70 years. She died Jan. 26 in Whittier, 
and had been a resident of Chateau Whittier for seven years. 
Survivors include her sister, Margaret Woodruff of Corvalis, Oregon; a nephew, Bruce Richert; 
and four nieces, Barbara Holler, Patricia Mack, Lurene Schwartz and Valerie Sherwood. 
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Myrtle Binkley Memorial Fund for the Elegant 
Living Home, 12029 Beverly Dr., Whittier 90601.
