She was born July 26, 1950 in Winfield, Kansas to Cecil and Geraldine (Parker) Thomson. The family moved from Winfield when she was 3 years old to Boron, California, where she graduated from Boron High School in 1968. She then attended Antelope Valley College, continuing her education and receiving an associates degree in business from Norwalk Community College in Norwalk, Connecticut. She married Del Bishop on August 18, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nevada, who survives her. She was a housewife and worked as a secretary for several businesses. She was active in the Northbrook community by volunteering at the Northbrook Public Library, involved in Parent-Teacher Organizations, Northbrook Hockey Association and participated in a local bowling league. She was also a member of the Northbrook United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her mother. She is survived by her husband Del Bishop also of Northbrook, son, Drew Bishop, a student at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, brother, James Thomson of Pinehurst, North Carolina, and father Cecil Thomson of Wichita, Kansas.
