Published in The Hayward Review on Jun 29, 1928 Funeral of Annie Boddy Next Friday Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, June 29, for Annie Boddy, who died at her home in Newark Wednesday following an illness which had extended over a number of months. A native of Ireland, the last 25 years of her life had been spent in California. In addititon to her wide circle of friends and aquaintances in Newark, Miss Boddy will be sincerely mourned in the Hayward community by many who knew her as a loving and generous friend. She was a sister of Sarah Boddy of New York, and John Boddy of Ireland, and was the loving aunt of Mrs. G. W. Halbert and Albert Peake, both of Newark. The services wll be held from the Pratt mortuary at 2 o'clock Friday, and will be followed by Interment in the Irvington cemetery. Oakland Tribune, Jun 30, 1928 Rites at Hayeard Hayward, June 30 - The funeral of Miss Annie Boddy, 70, who died at her Newark home after an illness of more than 6 months, was held today from the Pratt Mortuary, with interment at the Irvington cemetery. She was the sister of John, Irland, and Sarah, New York, and the aunt of Mrs. G. W. Halbert, Oakland, and Albert Peake, Newark.
