All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Source Unknown; 08 Dec 1938 Rosamond Man Dies In Accident On Burton. Mine Road Thurs. George H. Bramley of Rosamond was severely injured when his car turned over on the Burton Mine road about 6 last Thursday evening and he was taken to the hospital in Mojave by W. A. Ball where he was a found to have a broken collar bone, fractured ribs and a gash on his head, he died Monday night. Mr. Bramley was alone driving south and swerved across the road hitting the two foot bank. The road is sligtly down grade and the machine turned over stopping right side up according to officer C. A. Scott. In an accident west of Tehachapi the night before Bennie Lewis and his wife Lillie of Fresno sustained minor injuries when their car turned over on its side after a left tire went flat as they were rounding a turn. The trailer attached landed upside-down. The colored couple were taken to Tehachapi hospital by Mrs. Angus Green and the accidents were investigated by officer C. A. Scott.
