Mary Margaret Brewer laid to rest Thursday
DOWNEY-Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 4, at the Rose Hills Hillside Chapel in Whittier 
for Mary Margaret Brewer, a longtime Downey resident. 
She was born May 26, 1921 in Sixton, Mo., and moved to Downey with her parents in 1923. She 
graduated from Downey High School in 1938, and married S. Jean Brewer Aug. 12, 1939. They had 
two children, David E. and Mary Gayle Brewer. Mary Gayle died in 1982. 
Survivors include son David E. Brewer of Arcadia; a brother, Clarence D. Mocabee, Jr., of Downey; 
10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of friends. 
A visitation was held Wednesday, Feb. 3, in the Mortuary Stateroom at Rose Hills.
