Ukiah Daily Journal, Thursday, February 16, 1989, Page 14 A funeral for Edward Bennett Britton, 72, of Covelo will be 2 pm Friday at the United Methodist Church in Covelo. The Rev. Tom Nace will officiate. Britton died Feb. 13 at a Willits residence. He was born June 30, 1916 and was a native and lifelong resident of Covelo. He was a millworker for 30 years, last employed by Louisiana-Pacific. He was a member of the Round Valley Roundup Club and the United Methodist Church. Survivors are his children, Susan Betts and Pauline Gravier of Covelo and Bill Britton of Willits; stepchildren Elsie Whipple, Barbara Wilsey and Margaret Breedlove, all of Covelo; four brothers, Mervin and Roy Britton, Lester Azbill and Armstead Want, all of Covelo; six sisters, Barbara Anderson of Covelo, Henrietta Simmons of Prineville, Ore., Virginia Whipple of Sacramento, Linda Medina of San Jose, Wanda McLaughlin of San Diego, and Irma Hoaglen of Los Angeles; 12 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren, three great -great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Covelo. Arrangements are under the direction of Anker-Lucier Mortuary.
