Navara Mable Britton died Friday, Oct. 21 at age 86. She was born Dec. 18, 1907 
in Covelo. Mrs. Britton was a self -employed homemaker who enjoyed gardening 
and cooking. She is survived by her sons, Harold, Lawrence, Gerald, Earl and 
Reginald Britton, all of Covelo; daughter, Birdie Lockhart of Covelo; and 
brothers Ambrose and Robert Duncan, both of Ukiah. She is also survived by 23 
grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and one great great grandchildren. Mrs 
Britton was a life-long resident of Covelo and a member of the Covelo Methodist 
Church.
