All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Micheal Brothers Mr. Micheal William Brothers, 65, passed away on March 16, 2010 at Desert Valley hospital of natural causes. Services will be held at 11:00 on Monday, March 22, at the Victor Valley Memorial Park. The address is 15609 11th Street, in Victorville. Rev. Michael Bourcier, a family friend, will officiate. Mr. Brothers was born in St. Louis Missouri on January 4, 1945 to Harley and Hazel Brothers. Mike served on active duty in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years. Mr. Brothers spent over 10 years as a civil servant for the department of the Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base as a member of the F-15 Combined Test Force. In all, Mike served his country for over 30 years. In retirement, Mike was a substitute teacher for the Victor Valley School District. He served as a board member of the Victor Valley Animal Protective League, little league coach, basketball coach, and a Boy Scout leader. As a member of the Victor Valley RC Flyers club, Mike loved flying, repairing, and enjoying RC planes for nearly 40 years. He also had a private pilot's license and loved to fly everything. Mr. Brothers resided in Victorville for more than 30 years. Mr. Brothers was awarded an associate of applied science degree in aviation, a Bachelors of Science in aviation management, and a Masters of public administration. Mike held a strong belief in the power of education. Mr. Brothers is survived by his wife Thay Aun, daughters Marcia and Sabrina Brothers, son-in-law Per Lundgren, daughter-in-law Sony Brothers, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Brothers, and son Michael Brothers. His family and friends will love him always and miss him dearly. Published in Daily Press on March 21, 2010
