Bumgardner, 61, died Friday, November 27 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Icle Smith of 2079 Porter Street in San Bernardino. He was a native of Cromwell, Okla. and a resident of Boron, Calif. for the past seven years having been employed by the Pacific Coast Borax Company. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. May Bumgardner of Boron, six sons, Ralph, Joe, Bobbie Dale all of Boron, and Noah of San Bernardino and Otis of Sunnyvale, Calif. Three daughters, Icle Smith of San Bernardino, Darlene Fairchild of Boron and Imogene Poage of Wewoka, Okla; one brother, Sam Bumgardner of Washington D.C. and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 1st at the Boron Mines recreation hall with the Rev Clell Horton officiating with the assistance of Rev. Kenneth Lawson of the Boron Assembly of God Church. Opal Shelton and Opal Saucer sang �Sweet Hour of Prayer�, �In the Garden� and �Previous Memories�, Genevieve Deborah accompanying on the piano. Interment followed in the Barstow Cemetery, pall bearers were Chuck Baldwin, Ernest Shelton, Sut Robertson, B.B. Potts, Bob Blair and Elmer Price.
