Alycemarie Burt 
A longtime resident of La Crescenta, Calif., most recently lived in Big Bear Lake, Calif. Known 
as Ahmee, she was born on Nov. 17, 1921, in Lincoln, Neb. to ABC Jacobs and Edna Winifred 
Tolles. Ahmee leapt joyfully into Heaven on Feb. 20, 2008, at the age of 86.

She grew up in Glendale, Calif., attending Glendale Schools including Hoover High School where 
her father taught physics. She met her husband, James Leo Burt Jr., at Glendale College. They 
married July 13, 1944. "Jim" preceded her in death in 1994 after 5O years of marriage.

Ahmee leaves behind her beloved sister D'Anne Buckley of Lakewood, Calif., four children, 
Genearme (Phil) Francis of Fair Oaks, Calif., Richard (Vicki) Burt of Newhall, Calif., Brian (Linda) 
Burt of Sunland, Calif., and Laurie Turk of Venice Beach Calif. She also leaves six grandchildren: 
Andrew, Timothy, Jennifer, Daniel, Lisa and Rebecca; three great-grandchildren, Casey, Logan 
and Shane; two nieces, Judy and Margie and a nephew, Matt.

Ahmee's joyfulness, laughter, generosity, adventurous spirit, her love and her gift of being a 
true friend will be missed by her many friends and family. Amhee was a true enjoyer of life.

A Celebration of Life/Memorial Service will be held March 15, 2008, at the Crescenta Valley 
United Methodist Church, 2700 Montrose Ave. Montrose Calif., at 4 p.m.
