'Ted" Bynum, who passed away December 16 in Lancaster. Mr. Bynum retired in 1981 after a career in education. He was in charge of adult education and the continuation school at Boron High School, was principal at Gephart Junior High, and served as a vice-principal in Moorpark. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and lived in Boron for 37 years. Mr. Bynum was born September 11, 1912, in Frederick, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Boron Lions Club, Boron Chamber of Commerce, and the Boron Bible Church. He is survived by Frances, his wife of 29 years, daughter Ellen Ann Matthews, of Stafford, Virginia; sons Teddy L. Bynum, Johnny T. Bynum, and Benny J. Bynum, all of Boron, and Jerry L. Bynum of Manteca, and by eight grandchildren. Services were conducted by Pastor Phillip Johnson of the Boron Bible Church. Interment was in the Mojave Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Stickel Mortuary of Mojave. Ferris L. "Ted" Bynum, a 37-year resident of Boron, CA passed away on December 16, 2000 in Lancaster, CA. He was born on September 11, 1912, in Frederick, OK. Mr. Bynum was a school administrator for Muroc Unified School District and in 1981 he had retired as Vice Principal in Moorpark, CA. He served three years in the Army and was a member of the Boron Lions Club, the Boron Chamber of Commerce, and a member of Boron Bible Church. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Frances Bynum of Boron, CA; daughter Ellen Ann Matthews of Stafford, VA; sons Teddy L. Bynum, Johnny J. Bynum, and Benny J. Bynum of Boron, CA; son Jerry L. Bynum of Maniteka, CA.; and eight grandchildren. Proceeded in death by his father Oscar Bynum and mother Melissa Bynum. Memorial services were held on December 21,2000 at Boron Bible Church by Pastor Philip Johnson in Boron, CA.
