Friends, family mourn Myrtle Estelle Byrum, 82
DOWNEY-Funeral services were held May 20 at the Chapel of Memories in Norwalk for Myrtle Estelle 
Byrum, a resident of Downey for 47 years, who died May 14 in Whittier. 
She was 82, and was preceded in death by her husband, Buford R. Byrum, Sr. 
Survivors include her sons, Buford R. Byrum, Jr. of Downey, Gary Byrum of Kuwait City, Kuwait; a brother, 
William Delaney of Delight, Arizona; sisters Zelma Hendrix of Delight, Arizona, Tessie McWilliams of South 
Gate; sister-in-laws Hermie Thompson of Delight, Arizona, and Eloise Gosnell of Phoenix, Arizona. 
Burial followed at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier. Arrangements were by the Chapel of Memories 
Funeral Home in Norwalk.
