Born May 05, 1923 in New Mexico, to Tomas and Lara Carrillo, he was 83 years old. He was a life member of VFW post 1917 in Niles. He served in the 2nd Infantry of Pattons 3rd army and saw action during five campaigns in the European theater, including Normandy and the battle of the Bulge. His decorations include the Bronze star and Good Conduct Medal. he enjoyed reading, history and photography, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a cherished friend of all who knew him. Devoted husband of 54 years to Jean Carrillo of Fremont, CA. Beloved father of Gloria Murphy and husband Michael of Fremont, CA, Linda Gray and husband John of Modesto, CA, Joseph T. Carrillo Jr. of Escondido, CA, Charles Carrillo and wife Elizabeth of Modesto, CA & James Carrillo of Hayward, CA. Dearest brother of Beatrice Rojas of Tulare, CA, Ida Guererro of Tulare, CA, Antonio Carrillo and wife Lydia of Tulare, CA & Thomas Carrillo of Van Nuys, CA. Loving grandfather of ten and great grandfather of seven. Family and friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service Thursday, May 25th at 7:00 p.m. with visitation from 3:00-8:00 p.m. held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont. Funeral Mass will be Friday, May 26th at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, 40382 Fremont Blvd, Fremont. Burial will follow at Irvington Memorial Cemetery.
