FATAL AUTO ACCIDENT AT MONOLITH:
Last 'Saturday afternoon as the party was on .the way to spend the three 
holiday vacation, the entire party met instant death when their light car 
crashed head-on  with a heavy truck and trailer on the Tehachapi highway 
2 miles east of Monolith. They were' Moses T. Chavez, 48. of Los .Angeles, 
driver of, the car; Mrs. Crusita Chavez, 47, his wlfe, Ysidro Armijo, 37, 
Monolith cement worker, 'and Mrs. Olivia Armijo, 25, his wife.

William Norman, 24, of Tehachapi, a passenger in the truck, received slight 
injuries, while Sam Matosian, 38, of Los Angeles, driver of the truck, was' 
not injured

Highway Patrolman Chester E. Scott investigated. The bodies were removed to 
the Mojave Mortuary.
