Clark at 78 DOWNEY-Funeral services were held Sunday, May 18, at the chapel of the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary for Robert W. Clark, a resident of Downey for 13 years, who died at his residence May 14. He was 78, born in Medina, Ohio, Jan. 2, 1919. He served in the U.S. Army for 21 years and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer-3 in 1964. He was a member of Downey Post No. 2325 VFW, and the stamp collector's society. He also worked as a Met-Life Insurance representative after his retirement, and was formerly of Lynwood. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne of Downey; sons Richard, Norman, John and Paul; daughters Joleanne, Nancy and Roberta; sisters Elizabeth and Helen; brother Charles; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The Veterans of Foreign Wars officiated. Committal service was Monday, May 19, at the Riverside National Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.
