Private services for Ruth Ann Conroy, 79
DOWNEY-Long-time Downey resident Ruth Ann Conroy, who was born in Gary, Indiana on May 18, 
1922 to parents Granville and Clara Blankenship, died at her home here Thursday, Oct. 25. She was 79. 
She was an avid golfer, an enthusiastic sports fan and enjoyed basketball. She was a member of the 
Hacienda Country Club, Southern California Golf Association, Downey Women's Club, and Mr. & Mrs. 
Club, to name a few. She donated much of her time to helping the handicapped. 
Her sons Mill and Phillip, and sister Marie, survive her. Her husband, William E. Conroy, preceded her in 
death on Oct. 15, 1984. 
Private services were by the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.
