Appeal Democrat Monday 04-21-1958

Cope-Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday in Yuba City for John 
Sidney Cope, 80, who died last night in a Yuba City hospital. A native of 
Nevada, he was a retired rancher. He lived in the Yuba-Sutter area for the 
past 52 years. His home was at 1406 Haynes Rd. Survivors include his wife, 
Laura, of Yuba City; five daughters, Mrs Edward Strain of Marysville, Mrs 
Willard Bailey of Robbins, Mrs William Farley of Walla Walla, wash., and 
Mrs T.S. Allen and Mrs Charles Jacobsen of Sacramento. a son, Jack P 
Cope of Marysville a brother, J.P. Cope of San Diego; two sisters, Mrs E .F. 
Biggs of Gridley and Mrs Ada Cooms of Berkeley; 16 grandchildren and 19 
greatgrandchildren. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm in the 
Chapel of the Twin Cities with Rev Howard Daulton, pastor of the Yuba City 
First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Sutter cemetery.
