Funeral services held for Margaret E. Cottrell
DOWNEY-Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 27, at the Downey United Methodist Church 
for Margaret E. Cottrell, a 40-year Downey resident and an employee of Jerseymaid Milk Products 
for 40 years. 
She was 81, born in Geneva, Nebraska, and died Jan. 24 in Downey Community Hospital. 
She assisted with the Cub Scouts, youth sports, church activities, Downey High School football and 
Grad Night programs. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1978. 
Survivors include her daughter, Maggie Stempson; her son, John Cottrell (Pattie); and grandchildren 
Douglas, Kathi, Billy, and Peggy Stempson, and Tami and Johnny Cottrell. 
Pastor Gary Beard officiated. Burial followed at Rose Hills. Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies 
Mortuary of Downey.
