Ora Grace Crowell

Tehachapi News 1998

Funeral services were held in the Church of Christ, August 21 for 
Ora Grace Crowell, 81, who passed away at her Tehachapi 
residence on August 19. Mrs. Crowell was born May 20, 1917 in 
Center Ridge, Arkansas. She was married to Ottie Arnold 
Crowell in Morrilton, Arkansas on August 25, 1935. They moved 
to Tehachapi in 1954. For 43 years she worked with her husband, 
son and son-in-law as owners of C&P Market in Tehachapi. 
When she was not working, she found time to enjoy her flowers and 
fishing, but her greatest delight was spending time with her 
family.


Mrs. Crowell is survived by her daughters, Pat Stewart and 
husband Kirk of Tehachapi-, Sue Palmer and husband De-wain 
of West Plains, Missouri, and Zola Jasper of Grover Beach; son, 
Harold R. Crowell and wife Yvonne of Castle Rock, Washington; 11 
grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eunice Gibbs of 
Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Mary Humble of Memphis, Tennessee; 
and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death 
by her husband, Arnold, in 1994, and granddaughter, Jana In-
man, in 1993.
Minister Dale Rhodes of the Church of Christ officiated at the 
service. Interment followed at the Tehachapi Public Cemetery - 
Eastside.
Wood Family Funeral Service handled the arrangements.
