Teresita Angela Da Silva, 40 year resident mourned
DOWNEY-A Funeral Mass was heard March 29 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for 
Teresita Angela Da Silva, a 40 year resident of Downey, formerly employed for 20 years as a manager 
secretary for Rockwell. 
She was born March 17, 1924 in Manila, the Philippines, and moved to Hong Kong with her parents 
when she was 10. In 1957 she moved to England, then immigrated to the U.S. in 1961. 
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, and was involved in the Missionary of the 
Holy Spirit Apostalado Group of Downey and the OLPH Little Rock Bible Study Group. 
She loved cooking and sewing and was a talented cake decorator. 
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Leonel M. Da Silva; her sons, Joseph Anthony Da Silva of 
Downey, David John Da Silva (Jeannie) of Long Beach, Gerald Leonel Da Silva (Nancy) of San Bernardino, 
Paul Frederic Da Silva of Long Beach; brothers Jose Antonio Botelho (Evelyn Joyce) of Downey; sister 
Adelaida Siemann (Ronald) of Downey; grandchildren Kyle, Katherine, and Theresa Da Silva. 
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lourdes Adelaida Botelho. 
Private burial followed. Arrangements were by the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.
