Duntley Passes After Short Illness At the age of 70, Ina May Duntley passed away May 25, 1956 in Lancaster, Calif. following three weeks of illness. Mrs. Duntley, born December 17, 1885 in Los Angeles first came to the Antelope Valley in 1890. Following her marriage to Rawley B. Duntley, well known for his skills at pit barbecuing, on September 06, 1905, the couple established their first home four miles east of Palmdale and in 1910 bought a ranch at Oak Creek where they resided for 44 years. December 1954 they moved to Sierra Highway and Center Street, Rosamond. Mrs. Duntley has been a member of the W.R.C., President of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Desert Gold Parlor, Mojave and member of the Women's Club of Tehachapi. September, 6, 1955 the Duntleys were honored by their many friends throughout the valley at an open house and buffet supper to celebrate their Golden Anniversary. Mrs. Duntley is survived by her husband, a son, Lawrence of Rosamond, two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Stitt of Mojave, and Mrs. Myrtle Davis of Lancaster, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Rev. Fred Cottrell of Lancaster conducted the service held in the Mumaw Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 29th. Interment followed in the Lancaster Cemetery.
