A retired electrician, a member of the East Bay Gem & Mineral Society and the Knights of Columbus. He was a resident of Las Vegas and a former resident of Hayward and San Leandro. He is survived by his wife of 66 yeas, Aileen of Las Vegas, daughter, Karen Fisher of Sugarland, TX, sons, Charles of Las Vegas and John Jr. of Livermore, CA, brothers, Tom of Kirksville, MO and Samuel of Sacramento, 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A memorial Mass is scheduled at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Saturday, May 3 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Irvington Cemetery in Fremont at a later date.
