Source Unknown; Date Unknown Services were held on May 9, 2001 for Joyce DeVoe Durst who passed away at her home in California City on May 5,2001. She was born on December 21, 1932 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Joyce, a 29-year resident here, was the wife of William L. Durst and during their 51 years together the couple raised four children. She was a housewife who enjoyed crocheting and she was a member of the VFW Post. Among her favorite activities were those at the Latter Day Saints Church in Mojave where she was a member and attended services until her health began to fail. Those who love Joyce recall that her family was her first priority followed by her love of her church. She missed her family members who preceded her in death; sons John Walter, Billy Ray and Kenneth Wayne; a sister, Mary Francis Ream and a brother Elvin D. Ream. Along with her husband, Walter, Joyce is survived by her daughter Sherry Annette Bivens of Lancaster, Calif., her brothers Kenneth D. Ream of Long Beach, Calif, and Bobby J. Ream of Wichita Falls, Texas and two sisters Beverly S. Jones of Wichita Falls and Patsy A. Macios of St. Louis, Missouri. Joyce was the grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of two. Services were conducted by Stickel Mortuary with Bishop Joseph Stucki of the Latter Day Saints Church officiating. NOTE: Photo At: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cagha/index.htmphotos/kern/
