The Downey Eagle March 23, 2001 Volume 9 Number 5 John 'Jack' Dwelley remembered at age of 77 DOWNEY-Funeral services were held March 19 at the Downey 1st and 3rd Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for John "Jack" R. Dwelley, who with his brother was the longtime owner operator of Archwin Shade and Screen Company. He was 77, born June 3, 1923 in Los Angeles, and died March 13 in Downey. He was a veteran of World War II and the U.S. Navy, and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Virginia Dwelley of Downey; a son, David E. Dwelley of Downey; a daughter, Karen A. Picket of Chino; and nine grandchildren. Burial followed at Rose Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements were by the Allen-English & Estrada Funeral Service of Bell Gardens.
