Graveside services were held for long-time California City resident Leonard Norman 
Edwards at California City Memorial Park on September 17. Edwards was born on February 
24, 1942 in Inglewood, CA.
Edwards, who worked for many years at U.S. Borax, is survived by his mother Vera 
Edwards and sister Jean Gardner of Washington; wife Gayla Edwards of California City, 
Evie Edwards, mother of his four daughters Debbie Edwards of Ill., Sheri Hicks, her husband 
David and granddaughter Elise of Maryland; Sandy Canas, her husband Carlos and grandson 
Andrew and Diane Sheridan and grandson Corey of Mojave. Edwards is also survived by 
two step-sons Michael and Robert of Irvine, CA. and his many friends.
