When a towing cable broke between the car in which he was riding and the 
towing car in front wrapping around the front wheel and causing his 1931 
Chevrolet to turn over, William Elan was instantly killed in an accident which 
occurred Saturday night on the Tehachapi road north of Mojave. The body was 
taken care of by O'Donnell's Mojave Ambulance Service.
An inquest was held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock.
