Funeral services held for Janette Alexandra Ellis
DOWNEY-Funeral services were held June 14 at the First Presbyterian Church of Downey for Janette 
Alexandra Ellis, a resident of Downey since 1924 and a homemaker, who died June 9 at Downey 
Community Hospital. 

She was 95, born Nov. 1, 1903 in Hope, Arkansas. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church 
of Downey since 1928, and also belonged to the Women's Association of the First Presbyterian Church, 
and the Mariners of First Presbyterian. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Ellis in 1986. 

Survivors include her daughters, Dorothy Foss and Margaret (Bill) Klein; sons Fred L. Ellis, Jr. and Richard 
(Rennie) Ellis; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. 

The Rev. David Hall and Rev. John Toay officiated. 

Burial followed at Rose Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies Mortuary Chapel 
of Downey.
