All persons donating to this site retain the rights to their own work. Fort Bragg Advocate News; February 12, 2004 Nicholas Anthony Fales of Fort Bragg died suddenly Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004. Born on July 13, 1994 in San Francisco, to Birian and Gay Fales, he was 9. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Feb. 6, at Chapel by the Sea, Fort Bragg, with a reception following at the Fort Bragg Fire Hall. Inurnment was private. Nicholas was a student in Mrs. Carrole Haass fourth grade class at Dana Gray Elementary School. He loved the out of doors and enjoyed riding his dirt bike and playing music on his guitar and keyboard. He loved adventure and was always looking forward to the next family trip. He is remembered by family and friends for his ability to touch and enrich the lives of all those that met him. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Vernon Fales, in 2003. Nicholas is survived by his parents; brother, Chris Fales; grandparents, Marvin and Marsha Orsi and Violet Fales, all of Fort Bragg; aunts and uncles, Monte an d Lynn Orsi, David and Janet Conkle, Sharon Fales, Pam and Bob Amundsen, and by numerous other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Fort Bragg Volunteer Fire Department or the charity of choice.
