Source Unknown; 10 Oct 1957 Boron Resident Passes Away 'Doc' Findley, as his many friends called him, passed away on Tuesday, October 7th from Coronary Thrombosis. Osie Rueben Findley, born 48 years ago, Nov 24, 1908 in Hinton, Oklahoma was a mill mechanic at the Pacific Borax plant and resided in their trailer court with his wife Stella Gertrude. Services were held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Community Baptist Church in Boron, with Rev. Earl Reavis and Rev. Harold Burgess officiating. Interment was in the Barstow Cemetery. Surviving him: his wife and a daughter Ila Gertrude at their home in Boron, two sons, Alfred Oren Findley and Donny Eugene Findley, with another son, Osie Rueben Findley Jr. in Bakersfield. Three sisters also live in Boron, Mrs. Ola Meeks, Josephine Howard and Hazel Smith. His two brothers, Olduff and Ralph reside in Oklahoma.
