Alameda Times-Star Sunday, March 17, 2002 Fleming, Bert Paul; Apr. 18, 1919 ~ Mar. 15, 2002 Of San Leandro entered into rest on March 15, 2002. Age 82 years. Born April 18, 1919 in Cripple Creek, Colorado. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara Ellen Fleming for 30 years. Devoted father of Sandy Wit and son-in-law Scott of Livermore; James Edward Fleming of Castro Valley. Loving grandfather of Brook Wit. Survived by many nieces and nephews in Indiana. Bert was born in Colorado, but raised and spent part of his adult life in I ndiana. He was an employee of the Naval Air Station of Alameda for 40 years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service at the Chapel of the Valley Mortuary, 20359 Lake Chabot Road, Castro Valley on Monday, March 18, 2002 at 6:00 PM. Inurnment Private.
