Forderhase rites to be held Monday
Funeral services for Otto B Forderhase, 68, a native of Missouri, who died suddenly in 
his auto during the Live Oak fire, Friday, will be held at 2 pm Monday in Ullrey Memorial 
Chapel on Almond Street, Yuba City. A successful farmer who experience has proven as 
valuable to others as his results have been of worth to the cause of agriculture progress 
in Sutter County. He came with his parents the late Mr and Mrs W. H. Forderhase to 
California in 1888 and settled in Sutter. In 1911 Otto Forderhase bought his present ranch 
situated in a cove of the Sutter Buttes at the foot of North Butte. On October, 1904 he 
married Ada Humphrey, daughter of an early Sutter county family and by whom he is 
survived. Other surviving relatives are his sisters, Mrs Grant Davis, Mrs Charles Summy 
and brothers, Edwin Forderhase, William Forderhase, all of Sutter and a brother, Florenz 
of Yuba City.

Forderhase Rites held on Monday
Live Oak, Sept 12- The funeral services for Otto B Forderhase were held in Ullrey memorial 
chapel Monday afternoon. Rev. J. S. Anderson of Live Oak officiated in the chapel and North 
Butte Lodge I.O.O.F officiated at the grave Firman Wolfe noble grand and Loyd Evers, 
chaplain, Mrs Gladys Betty was organist and Mrs Gerald Raub soloist. Interment was in the 
Sutter Cemetery. Casket bearers were Schuyler Wadsworth, Lloyd Spilman, W. R. Channon, 
Bert Ullrey, Owen Powell and P. B. Van tress.
