Andrew Foster succumbs at 78

Orland-Funeral services were held at 2 pm, yesterday for Andrew Foster of Orland who died 
at the age of 78 in Enloe Hospital in Chico. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on 
January 7, 1898. He was a resident of Orland on Co., Rd. DD west of Orland was a retired 
worker for the county of Glenn. He worked on an Orland chicken ranch since his retirement. 

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Foster of Orland; five sons, Leland Foster of Sacramento, 
Buster Foster of Yuba City, Bob Foster of Sacramento, Clifford McCormack of Vacaville, and 
Merle McCormack of Esparto; six daughters, Virginia Branan of San Jose, Peggy Wall of Orland, 
Norma Celand and Barbara Martin of Woodland, Olga Borders of Orland, and Opal Conger; and 23 
grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at F.D. Sweet and Son of Orland. 
Burial was held at Colusa Graveyard.
