The Downey Eagle August 10, 2001 Volume 9 Number 25 Services are held for Clementina Avalos Frias DOWNEY-A funeral mass was heard Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for Clementina Avalos Frias, a 13-year Downey resident and homemaker who loved sewing and cooking. She was born Sept. 14, 1952 in Ixtlan, Del Rio, Naarit, Mexico to parents Reyes Avalos and Narcisa Sanchez, and came to the U.S. in 1970, settling in Los Angeles and later moving to Bell, prior to her years in Downey. She was self employed in the clothing industry and loved to read and cook. Survivors include her husband, Manuel Frias; her sons, Jose Manuel Frias and Mauricio Frias; and her daughters, Roxanna Frias and Maria Elizabeth Frias, all of Downey. Burial followed at Resurrection Cemetery in South San Gabriel. Arrangements were by the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.
