Services Saturday for Bertie June Frye
A service of homecoming with the Lord will held for Alberta June Frye (Davis), known 
to her many friends as "Bertie," on Saturday, December 4 at 11 a.m. at Mojave 
Assembly of God
Mrs. Frye passed on to be with the Lord on November 24. 
She is survived by her husband Grant, of Mojave, sisters Shirley Atkins, Lancaster; 
Martha Mate and Sammy Kay Bauhman,  Quapaw,  Okla.; brothers  Ed Adkins,  
Mojave and Bill Davis, Quapaw, Okla.; daughters Lola Smiley and Brenda Trafton, 
Mojave; and sons Grant D. Frye and Daryl Frye, Mojave.
Mrs. Frye is also survived by six grandchildren, aunts and uncles, a multitude of 
nephews, nieces and adopted family members, along with a host of brothers- and 
sisters-in-Christ.
The family is requesting no flowers. A trust fund has been established at the 
Mojave Desert Bank to aid with burial expenses.

Alberta J. Frye, a 43 year resident of Mojave, California, died on November 24, 1999 in Lancaster. She 
was a loving mother and wife. She was born June 6," 1937 in Zincville Oklahoma. She was a member of 
the Mojave Assembly of God. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Grant H. Frye, of Mojave; 2 
daughters Lola Smiley and Brenda Trafton, both of Mojave; 2 sons, Grant D. Frye and Daryl Frye, also 
of Mojave; 6 grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, and adopted children. Services will be held at 
the Mojave Assembly of God Church at 16027 M Street, Mojave CA., on December 4, 1999 at 11:00 
p.m., presided by Pastors Mike Owens and Paul Vogler. Make any donations in lieu of flowers to the 
Mojave Desert Bank. Services are provided by Stickel Funeral Home.
