She was born to William and Anna (Abramoff) Shubin on Sept. 4, 1925, in L.A. She graduated from Garfield High School, worked for Andrews Hardware in the 1940s during W.W. II, and Mattel Toys in the 1970s. Anne and her family have called Big Bear home since 1978. A homemaker and a mother to 7 children, Anne loved gardening, bowling, playing cards, and most of all being at Harrah's in Laughlin, NV, at her favorite slot machine. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edward B., and a sister, Frances Shubin and children, Georgette Jankowski (Bogdanoff) (Dr. Joe); Gary W. Bogdanoff; Michael (Patricia); Regis (Vicky); Dennis (Leslie); Patrick and Carla. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Gary W. Bogdanoff Jr., Joseph Jankowski, Brianna Gallagher, Alicia Gallagher, Gretchen Gallagher, Joshua Gallagher, Jasmine Gallagher, Ryan Gallagher, Elizabeth Stein and Sam Porter. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Eddie B. ll, a stepdaughter, Linda Porter and sister, Mary Larimore She has 9 great-grandchildren and one little Jankowski due Nov. 18. Anne's feisty personality will sorely be missed by all that knew and loved her. Trident Society is handling the arrangements. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
