Mr. H. E. Gilbert passed away after a long illness. Mr. Gilbert is the father of 1st 
Sgt. Bill Gilbert of the 3208th. He passed away May 19 at 11:40 a.m. at his son's 
home at the New Muroc Housing Project. Mr. Gilbert was born in 1889 and was a 
resident of Redlands, Calif for many years. He is survived by his wife his son and wife 
and a daughter, Mrs. Orville Cummings.
Mr. Gilbert's body was shipped to Porter, Oklahoma where burial services will be 
held on arrival. Muroc extends its sincerest sympathy to the bereaved family, Sgt. B. 
L. Gilbert and his mother, Mrs. H. E. Gilbert, accompanied the body back to 
Oklahoma.
