Source Unknown; Date Unknown William "Bill" Goit, 10-year resident of Agness, OR passed away on June 2, 2002 from pancreatic cancer in Keizer, OR at his son's home. Bill was born in Inglewood, CA on October 9, 1942. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed many activities such as hunting, being outdoors and spending time with his family. Bill was always outgoing, smiling and willing to lend a hand regardless of whether he had the time or energy for the task. Bill was an active member of the Agness-Ilahee volunteer fire department and a regular driver for the rescue van. Bill started off working the food industry as a chef and owned his own restaurant in Kramer Junction. He eventually retired in Agness where he became know as a "jack of all trades." In 1992 Bill and his wife Donna worked and ran many lodges on the Rogue River. From 1995 until he retired last November Bill worked for the Agness Company. Bill felt that the last ten years in Agness were some of the best of his life. He enjoyed his time in Agness so much that it was a joke with his family that "you could never get him off that hill." Bill is survived by his wife of 30 years, Donna, and his seven children, William, Daniel, Shawn, Todd, Melvin, Nicklas, and Angelique, as well as 14 grandchildren and many, many good friends.
