Source Unknown; Date Unknown 1945 - 1998 The Reverend James Heden officiated at funeral services held at the Hilltop Community Church in Richmond on December 30 for William N. Greer, Jr. who passed away on December 20 following a car accident. Mr. Greer was born in Madera on March 26, 1945. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam conflict for a period of nine years. He was employed by the California Department of Corrections for 17 years before retiring in 1997. William made his home in the community of Rodeo for 15 years and in Tehachapi for the last seven years with his wife Beulah. Mr. Greer was a member of Christian Life Assembly in Tehachapi for seven years and Hilltop Community Church in Richmond for 1 years. His favorite activities were time spent with his family, fishing and charitable act for his local church. He is survived by sons, William N. Ill, Stan, Jason, Donovan, Matt, Mark, John, Michael, Caleb and Ryan. H also leaves one daughter Donna M. Smith of San Pablo Mr. Greer also has five sisters June Swinnock, Martha Archer Kay Young, Edith Young am Billie Tsarnas, two brothers Lloyd Greer and Bensor (Sonny) Greer and four grand children.
