Loving father to Dan and Elaine Grimmer of Fremont, Terry E. Grimmer of Sunol. Devoted grandfather to Matthew Grimmer T.J. Grimmer, Christopher and Merrill Grimmer. Dear great grandfather to Kaitlyn Riley Grimmer and Haley Mae Grimmer. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Grimmer in 2004. Born November 25, 1914 in San Jose, age 90. Chuck was a dentist for 45 years and a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Southern Alameda County Dental Association. A past board member of the Tri City Volunteers and past volunteer for Fremont Police Department, he was also a member of Washington Township Men's Club, University of California Alumni Association, Corpus Christi Church St. Vincent de Paul Society and he served on the Washington Township High School Board from 1952 - 1960. An avid 49ers fan, Chuck loved football. Meet at Corpus Christi Church, 37891 - 2nd Street, Fremont on Monday, May 9, 10 a.m. for a funeral mass. A committal service will follow at Irvington Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Donations may be made to Sister John Marie's Pantry, P.O. Box 3248 Mission San Jose, CA 94539.
