He was a 36-year resident of Hesperia. He lived in California for 60 years. He was born Sept. 14, 1921 in Casa Colorado, N.M. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge. He was a lifetime member of the DAV, Bill Kinnard Chapter #92, Victorville. He was an alumni of NACCC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabel, Nov. 21, 1995. He is survived by four step-daughters; Dr. Graciela Morales-Scott, Hesperia; Gloria Gonzalez, Newberry Springs; Isabel Chavez, Atwater; and Frances Berrios, Woodland. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by three brothers; Aurelio Gurule, Sanger; Robert Gurule, Barstow; Rudy Gurule, Sanger; and three sisters; Amelia Mireles, Sanger; Rebecca Padilla, Sanger; and Beatriz Trevino, Hanford. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m., Feb. 21, 2008 at Desert View Funeral Home, 11478 Amargosa Road, Victorville. Services will be at 10 a.m., Feb. 22, 2008 at Desert View Funeral Home. Desert View Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
