George Edward Hammond, 48, born Oct. 6, 1897 at Hennessey, Oklahoma. passed away at 
the Mojave Hospital from bronchopneumonia. He is survived by his wife Jewel Hammond, 2 
children Phyllis and Marion Clyde, who reside at 418 K St. Mojave Calif. Mr. Hammond also 
leaves 4 step children, Corp. Orville E. Gilmore, Frances Brasher, Mrs. George W. Bowlin 
and Eugene.
George Hammond has lived in and around Mojave for the past 5� years. Shortly before his 
death he was an employee of the Standard Oil Co. in Mojave.
The body was shipped to Enid, Oklahoma where services will be held for relatives and friends to 
attend. O'Donnell Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
