Of Fremont entered into rest August 5, 2005. Loving father and father-in-l
aw to Bernard S. and Grace Hernandez of Livermore, Kathleen M. Hernandez-
Resare and Mark Resare of Fremont. Cherished grandfather to ten g
randchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Dear brother to Linda Gallant of 
San Francisco, Gloria and George Osorio of Sunnyvale. Beloved uncle to 
Jeanette, Nadine, Linda and many other nieces and nephews. He is also 
survived by his love of his life, companion, his dog Velvet. He was predeceased 
by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy M. Hernandez, in 1996. Born May 12, 1920 in 
San Francisco, age 85. Bernard was an avid 49er fan and he loved walking his 
dog Velvet in Glenmoor park daily. A member of the Senior Center in Fremont 
and member of Local 777M. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, with a 
chapel service at 11 a.m., at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., 
Fremont. Burial will follow at Irvington Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Donations 
may be made to the SPCA, 2500 - 16th St. San Francisco, CA 94103.
