Mass held for Rafaela Hernandez at age 81
DOWNEY-A Funeral Mass was heard March 28 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for 
Rafaela Hernandez, a Downey resident for 11 years and a homemaker. 
She was 81, born in El Salvador, and died March 24 in Downey. 
She was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. 
Survivors include her daughter, Juana; her grandsons, Luis (Angela), Nelson (Zulma), Ever ( Brenda); 
granddaughters Rhina (Jose), Dolores, Lillian (Geronimo), Rosita (Juan), and Maritza; 14 grandchildren 
and son-in-law Francisco. 
Father John Moloney officiated. Private burial followed. Arrangements were by the Miller-Mies 
Mortuary Chapel.
