Source Unknown; 14 Dec 1950 Accident Snuffs Out Three Lives A disastrous accident that snuffed out three lives and injured four others, occurred, at about: 6:20 p, m. last Thursday just 10 miles east of Mojave. One car, coming toward Mojave and carrying four Douglas air workers, swung out to pass a truck parked partly on the highway, and skidded into another car headed east. The resulting crash caused the death of two of the Douglas workers instantly and another man died en route to the hospital, The men, Charles S. Crow, Charles E. Hobbs, and Harold T. Daniels, were residents of Santa Monica and Venice: The injured, Ervin Dowell, of San Francisco; Mr. and Mrs. James Frazier of Alameda, and Alfred D. Curtis, of Venice, were all taken to the Mojave hospital for treatment by the O'Donnell Funeral Home ambulance. The three bodies were shipped to Santa Monica by the O'Donnell Funeral Home, for bunal there.
