The Downey Eagle April 30, 1999 Volume 7 Number 10 James Arthur Hollywood Jr., mourned at age 81 DOWNEY-A funeral mass was heard April 26 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for James Arthur Hollywood, Jr., a 30-year resident of Downey and the former controller for Pioneer Flintkote for 44 years. He was 81, born in Trinidad, Colorado, and died at Downey Community Hospital April 21. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II, and was discharged with the rank of Aerographer's Mate Third Class. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Hollywood; his son, James Hollywood and daughters Kay Wadsworth, Sharon Nameth and Janice Marquess; a sister, Louise Collier; and 10 grandchildren. Father John Maloney officiated. Burial followed at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills, with the Rev. Steve Faubion officiating at graveside. Arrangements were by the Downey Zrelak Family Mortuary.
