Services today for William H. Hormell
DOWNEY-A memorial service will be held today (Friday, April 6), at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church 
of Downey, where he once served as an usher, for William H. Hormell. 
Pastor John Smyser will officiate. 
Hormell was 67, born in Denver, Colorado, and died March 30 at his home in Lynwood. 
He lived in Lynwood for 35 years, was a photographer for United Press International, and was a member 
of the National Press Association. 
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, son Tim and daughter Cindy Albright; sisters Shirley Wilt, Stella Jane 
Hammond, Marilyn Gregory, Virginia Denny, and Phyllis Tolleson; brother Terry; and grandchildren 
Heather Diaz, Chris Bell, and William and Alexis Hormell. 
Graveside services will be today at 11 a.m. at Rose Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Miller-
Mies Mortuary of Downey.
