Source Unknown; Date Unknown A former Magic Valley resident, Harold Raymond Howard, 80, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 1998, at Antelope Valley Convalescent Hospital in Lancaster, CA. He was born February 18,1918, in Boise, the son of Otis and Sadie Hughes Howard. Besides mining, logging and sawmills, Harold worked in agriculture, trucking and in the construction of Anderson Ranch Dam. A veteran of World War II, he belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars, having served in the U.S. Army in Africa, Sicily, Italy, France and Germany, as well as in the states. Survivors include his wife, Beverly, of California City; :two daughters, Kathy Renee' of Seattle, \WA and Laura and Bob Schollerman of Los Angeles, a son, Harold Eugene "Bud" Howard of Denver, Colo.; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Randy arid Sandy; and one great-grandson, Warren. Also surviving are three sisters, Olive Bean of Twin Falls, Chiaquetta and Joe Gricee of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Utahna "Toni" and Ralph Hill of Heyburn: and many other close relatives and friends. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at Rocky Bar during the Labor Day weekend.
