Stewart Humes of California City passed away recently as the result of a 
drowning accident near Johnsondale, California. He was 17. 
Stewart was a member of the First Baptist Church in California City.  He 
played Junior Varsity football at Mojave High School where he was a 
student.
Survivors include his parents, Charles and Maria Humes; three sisters, 
Karla Morris and Cynthia and Julie Humes; two brothers, Winfield and 
Alan Humes all of California City.

A memorial service was be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2003 at the 
House of Refuge Church of God in Christ, 1446 W. 36th Place, Los Angeles 
with Dr. Julius C. Rogers officiating.
Myers Funeral Service in Porterville was in charge of arrangements.
