Source Unknown; 3 Jul 2003 January 26, 1926 - June 28, 2003 Betty Helen Inman Hunt, a longtime former resident of Boron, passed away in a nursing home in Caney, Oklahoma on June 28, 2003. Betty was born in Oran, Missouri on January 26, 1926 to Warren and Oma (Bryant) Inman. She was a resident of Opal, Wyoming for 18 years where she worked at Alco and 7-11 in Kemmerer. She was a foster grandparent at Burgoon School. Betty and her late husband, Louis, moved to Boron 1958. Louis retired from US Borax. He passed away in 1982. Betty stayed on in Boron until 1984 when she moved to Wyoming with her son, Michael. Crocheting, socializing and our Lord Jesus Christ were among the things Betty loved most in life. She was a member of the First Baptist church in Kemmerer. Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis; three sons, Bill, Ricky and Jimmy; sisters Janiece and Camilla; brother Paul and Joyce Inman; one step-daughter, Karen Griffith; a grandson, Ricky II; granddaughters, Dawn Jenkins, Lisa Dover and great granddaughters, Tiffany Dover and Treasure Hunt. Surviving family members are daughters; Joy Salmans of Dodge City, Kansas, and Kathy Ragsdale of Medford, Oregon and son Michael Hunt of Opal, Wyoming; step-daughter, Barbara Zimmerman of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers Bill Inman of Santa Clarita, California and Gary Inman of San Jose, California; sisters Gayle Bell of Simi Valley, California and Kay Medlock of St. Louis, Missouri; 17 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. Betty is also survived by nieces Becky Hylla of California City, California and Renee Tucker of Boron, California. Graveside services will be held at Joshua Memorial Park in Lancaster, California where Betty will be laid to rest with her husband and son, Jimmy. Date and time of services are pending at this time. Betty would want donations made to Gideon's, Alzheimer's Foundation or the charity of your choice.
